1. Product Information
Sodium carbonate is an inorganic compound, also known as soda ash or soda. It belongs to the category of strong-base weak-acid salts. At room temperature, it appears as a white crystalline powder, which is easily soluble in water and forms an alkaline aqueous solution.
Chemical formula of sodium carbonate: NaCO3
Molecular weight: 105.99
CAS NO.: 497-19-8
Common specifications: For industrial-grade sodium carbonate, the common purity specifications include 99.2%, 99.5%, 99.8%, etc. For food-grade sodium carbonate, it must comply with national standards, with a purity of not less than 99.2% generally.

Storage conditions
Store in a sealed and dry manner. It should be placed in a cool and well-ventilated warehouse, far away from ignition sources and heat. Avoid mixed storage with acids and deliquescent substances to prevent caking due to moisture absorption, which may affect its usability.
2.Physical Properties
At room temperature, sodium carbonate is a white, odorless powder or granule with hygroscopicity. When exposed to air, it will gradually absorb moisture and form hydrates.
The melting point of sodium carbonate is 851℃, and it decomposes at boiling point.
It is easily soluble in water, releasing heat during dissolution, and insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether.
Its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, which can turn phenolphthalein indicator red.
3. Main Applications
● In the industrial field
Sodium carbonate is an important basic chemical raw material, widely used in glass manufacturing for producing flat glass, optical glass, etc.
● In the textile industry, it is applied to fiber scouring, bleaching and dyeing processes
In the papermaking industry, it is used in the pulping process to improve the whiteness and strength of paper. In the detergent industry, it serves as a builder to enhance the decontamination effect. In addition, it is also used in metallurgy, water treatment, tanning and other industries.
● Food-grade sodium carbonate can be used as a food additive
Applied in the fermentation adjustment of flour products and the acidity neutralization of food, etc.
4. Packaging Specifications
The common packaging of sodium carbonate includes plastic woven bags of 25kg, 50kg and 1000kg. Some food-grade products adopt double-layer packaging, with an inner layer of food-grade plastic bags and an outer layer of woven bags. Customized packaging specifications are also available according to customer requirements. The package should be clearly labeled with product name, specification, purity, manufacturer, production date, shelf life, as well as warning signs such as "Moisture Proof" and "Sealed".
5. Core Advantages
